clinical Supervison
I offer both individual and group supervision
Working toward your LPC
Supervision allows you to enhance your self-awareness in addition to working on your skills and competencies.
I completed a training from The Colorado School for Family Therapy specifically around supervision techniques and Colorado laws/ethics for psychotherapy.
In addition, because I’m a body centered therapist, I can offer you skills to use sensation-based reflection and inquiry to help you understand how you can take care of yourself, both during and after session, and keep you and your clients on the right track.
I will provide you with direct feedback and specific suggestions for improving your skills. I will validate your creativity, your insights, and support you in your professional development and growth.
Some possible objectives for supervision include:
Learn case conceptualization. We will speak about client cases from the perspective of learning tool and I will ask you thoughtful questions that may spark curiosity and a new understanding of yourself or your client.
Learn about basic concepts of psychodynamic/relational work and how to apply it to behavioral therapy.
Learn about your professional identity and what’s important to you. What are your values as a clinician? How do you want to show up with clients?
Describe common mistakes/consequences around failing to attend to transference/countertransference, including unintentional boundary crossings/violations and other ethical concerns.
Explain how to use yourself and your body as a barometer to detect/measure unconscious relational processes that occur within the therapeutic relationship.
